        World Humanitarian Day Networking and Fundraising Event

        Please plan to join us in Corktown to network with fellow globally-minded Detroiters and to honor World Humanitarian Day. World Humanitarian Day is a day set aside by the United Nations and our global community to recognize and honor the incredible work and sacrifices of humanitarian aid workers worldwide. Come out and learn about medical humanitarian and mission trips and how to get involved. We will also be talking about our work at UNA Detroit and our plans for United Nations Day in Detroit.

        Detroit Symphony Orchestra Quartet at Wild Summer Nights Series

        The Detroit Zoo gets even wilder on Wednesday nights during July and August with its annual Wild Summer Nights concert series. Wild Summer Nights features a variety of live music from local bands, including children’s, classical, pop, folk and blues. Concert-goers are invited to bring a blanket and pack a picnic. Cooler checks will be done and, as a reminder, there is no beer, wine, alcohol or glass allowed on property. Food, snacks, beer, wine and soft drinks are available for purchase from

        River and Dream

        A performance of dance, poetry and storytelling. Optional audience participation in a dance in the water. Please arrive by 7pm to be oriented for the simple structured improvisation, and/or if you would like to present a poem, story or music piece before the main performance. Footwear is recommended for water-dancing. Children who participate must be accompanied by an adult.

        Star Wars: The Last Jedi– Movies at New Center Park

        Grab a park chair or spread your blanket on the lawn and enjoy this mix of old and new films in the open-air. Wednesday night movies are classics or blockbusters. Friday night features are more family friendly.
